Will Crunches Help Me Burn More Calories After Running?

Runner’s Question: I have a bit of a belly, but nothing out of control. I just finished a run, where I burned over six hundred calories, and I was curious – Is it ok if I do some crunches immediately after the run?
Will doing this help me burn more calories, and in turn will it help me to tone my stomach? Thanks in advance, and keep up the great work on the blog!

you probably want to run, stretch a little, then do your crunches. but the longer you keep your heart rate up, the more calories you’ll burn. actually, you keep burning calories after you stop running, because your heart rate’s up. so, yeah, running is good for just all-around weight loss, and crunches will really help tone your tummy.
I did that once and I still find it hard to accomplish! Because after I run I am exhausted especially after burning 500 calories. I did that got on my back and I could bearly do five when I really could do 20 or so.
yeah it would help alot also make sure that you are eatign a healthy diet
Ya it is good to do crunches to burn cals but you wont burn cals at the same rate as if u were running or doing another cardio exercise. You can mix an forms of exercise together how ever you want
